
Roses underneath Paris is a crime novel by the Turkish author Mehmet Murat ildan, published (in Turkish) in Istanbul by the Truva Publishing House (Truva Yayinlari) in January 2006.
It takes place in the 1930's Paris. In a narrow and a dirty street, a beggar has been begging money from a rich woman. After they talk for a while, the beggar discovers a secret of the woman...
Events will take the beggar to the Royal Street Sewer (Egout de la Rue Royale) in Paris.

In Chapter II, Roses underneath Paris has a one act theatre play, Cunning Knight. This play has psychological significance for the characters in the novel.
